80: Jin Returning Home

Jin had spent fifty transformative years by Boundless Dream’s side, learning, growing, and helping to shape the cosmos into a harmonious and prosperous realm. However, despite all his achievements, there was one unresolved issue lingering in his heart—his estrangement from his family. Encouraged by Boundless Dream, he decided to return home to face his past.

As Jin and Boundless Dream approached his family estate, Boundless Dream chose to remain in the background, ready to support Jin but allowing him to take the lead. The sprawling compound of the Jin Clan looked the same, but Jin felt like a completely different person now.

They walked into the grand hall, where the patriarch of the family, Jin’s father, sat surrounded by various family and branch members. Jin’s presence caused a stir, but it wasn’t until the arrogant patriarch spoke that the atmosphere grew tense.

“Jin,” his father sneered, “why have you returned? We ousted you years ago, and you were nothing then.”

Jin held his head high, his demeanor calm. “I’ve come to resolve some matters and ensure the safety of my family. My life has changed drastically, Father. I’ve been traveling with Boundless Dream.”

His father scoffed, “Boundless Dream? Do you expect us to believe that you, a discarded son, traveled with such an illustrious figure?”

A younger brother, whom Jin had never met, stepped forward, his eyes filled with hostility. “You expect us to believe you? Prove it.”

Boundless Dream, who had remained silent thus far, stepped forward slightly, her presence commanding immediate attention. “I am Boundless Dream,” she stated calmly, her voice carrying an air of authority.

The entire hall fell into stunned silence. The mention of Boundless Dream’s name sent chills down their spines. The once arrogant patriarch paled, realizing the gravity of the situation. Everyone knew of Boundless Dream, the unifier and protector of the cosmos, but few had seen her face.

Jin’s father, now visibly shaken, tried to regain his composure. “What is your purpose here, Boundless Dream?”

She replied, “Jin has been by my side for fifty years. He has played a significant role in the unification and growth of the cosmos. I am here to support him and ensure he receives the respect he deserves.”

Jin, emboldened by Boundless Dream’s support, looked at his father and the gathered family members. “I did not come here for accolades. I came to offer support. However, if you insist on treating me with disdain, I have no reason to stay.”

His younger brother, the current strongest in the clan, stepped forward challengingly. “I don’t believe you. If you are so powerful, prove it. Fight me.”

Jin sighed, seeing the desperation and need for validation in his brother’s eyes. “Very well.”

They moved to the clan’s arena. The family gathered around, eager to see the spectacle. The younger brother charged at Jin, who effortlessly sidestepped and grabbed him by the neck, lifting him off the ground. Jin’s strength was overwhelming, and he gently but firmly tossed his brother to the ground.

Looking around at the shocked faces, Jin spoke with a tone of finality. “I will not stay here. Here is a communication number.” He handed a small device to his father. “You may contact me three times—once for my mother, once for my father, and once for my little sister. You get three chances due to this reception. Use them wisely.”

Boundless Dream stepped forward, and with a flash of light, she and Jin vanished, leaving the family in stunned silence. The hall filled with regretful murmurs as the family members realized they had squandered an opportunity to align themselves with the Forest Immortal Sect due to their arrogance and hatred.

As Jin and Boundless Dream reappeared outside the family estate, Jin let out a long breath. “Thank you for standing by me,” he said, his voice filled with gratitude.

Boundless Dream smiled warmly. “You handled that well, Jin. They needed to see your strength and understand that you have moved beyond their limited views.”

Jin nodded, feeling a sense of closure. “Let’s continue our journey. There is still much to do, and many more beings to help.”
